So many notes struck a chord with me, especially this one "We love God’s grace, but we don’t like His watch. His calendar appears to be astonishingly different than the ones we hang on our walls."
Learning to wait on Him, for His answer and deliverance according to Him timing instead mine, was a lesson I had to learn too.
God bless
PeterPeter Stonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04896115247438514660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992399651349901674.post-5175666995431330192010-07-09T00:46:39.775-05:002010-07-09T00:46:39.775-05:00Dear Cherie!...I am so glad that I checked your bl...Dear Cherie!...I am so glad that I checked your blog! OH boy! It's as if you were writing what was on my heart. Waiting... Trusting...These require faith and faith takes TIME! Thank you so much for reminding me of what to do while I'm waiting: "...we should be faithfully approaching God’s throne of grace and asking Him, 'What? What is it that you want to do in and through me in this?'"
I'm so thankful to be a part of your special blog family. :)
Sincerely,
TammiTammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11625966252985649159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992399651349901674.post-64278887373587340302010-07-08T16:05:51.306-05:002010-07-08T16:05:51.306-05:00Beth Moore said, "It isn't a wait without...Beth Moore said, "It isn't a wait without the longing." I learned so much from the session of her Esther study about waiting. That in the verse Isaiah 30:18, "Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!" the original word for "longs" and "wait" are the same.... he is longing to answer just as we are and the timing will be perfect!Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17122729026438550593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992399651349901674.post-73002281053201179912010-07-07T21:13:40.642-05:002010-07-07T21:13:40.642-05:00God showed me a few days ago that I was in the coc...God showed me a few days ago that I was in the cocoon part of my journey. The enemy whispers, “God’s Word can’t be relied upon, He can’t be trusted…you have to do something!” But God’s strong, still, small voice replies, “Wait on Me…I will save you…I will deliver you…I hold your life (every detail) in the palms of my hands.” Giving total control to God is something I'm not very good at - thanks for the reminder that when I feel my world is falling apart, it's really just falling into place in the hands of my loving, Heavenly Father! God bless you richly, friend. You've been such a blessing to me! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11475395753533265087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4992399651349901674.post-63628265356429600732010-07-07T10:30:07.480-05:002010-07-07T10:30:07.480-05:00So glad I stumbled across your blog today. There would be not need for HOPE without WAITING.
Waiting also brings the glorious surprise to a climax when it does finally arrive. Most of the time - if we ask - God will show us the outcome - what we are waiting for - but then He asks us to TRUST HIM for His timing - in our waiting - for its appointed time!

I love the passage from

Habakkuk 2:3
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it will certainly come and will not delay.

Also from

Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

I try to enjoy the wait now - rather than fighting it - knowing that it brings the fulfillment of the HOPE for which I wait!

Great post - thanks for sharing!

Choosing JOY, StephanieTRUTH SHARERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17069583768409534620noreply@blogger.com
