The Centerpiece

Here is a man who was born in an obscure village,
the child of a peasant woman.

He worked in a carpenters' shop until He was 30,
and then for three years He was an itinerant preacher.

He never owned a home, never wrote a book, never held an office.

He never went to college,
never traveled more than 200 miles
from His place of birth.

He never did any of the things that normally accompany greatness.

He had no credentials but Himself.

Twenty centuries have come and gone and today Jesus Christ
is the centerpiece of the human race.
