Have YOU Seen Him?

When they went to the tomb, they couldn’t find Him.
The Roman guards never saw Him.
The tomb was empty.

Are you a Mary Magdalene, the first to see Him,
running to tell the others the Good News.
Or are you a Thomas, living a life of faith that says,
“I’ll believe it when I see it!”
Or maybe you’re like Peter,
you must be asked by Him repeatedly,
“Do you love Me?”

Those who were closest to Him…
saw Him after He’d been lifted up.
And they lived their lives, lifting up His name.
Many even died brutal deaths,
in order to fulfill the Great Commission.
His message was, “Follow me.”
The message they gave their lives for,
the message they declared was,
“He has risen! He lives!”

So have you seen Him?
I saw Him just the other day,
opening a door for a mother
and her child in a wheelchair.
I saw Him helping a family rebuild their home
that was destroyed by a storm.
I saw Him walk up to a homeless man
and cover him with a blanket.
I saw Him just this morning,
carrying an elderly woman’s groceries to her car.
I saw Him at the hospital embracing
a mother and father who had just lost their child.

I saw Him Sunday on His knees,
praying for you.

Everywhere I go, I look for Him;
yet, not always do I see Him.
I recall we’re supposed to reflect His image,
as I stare into the mirror.
Do we love those who hate us?
Do we forgive those who betray us?
Do we do kind things for others,
when they least deserve it?
Do we keep peace with those who try to steal it?
It is only then…that we will see Jesus.

If we call Him Lord of our life,
we shouldn’t be afraid to ask those closest to us,
“Have you seen Him?”

And as you look into the mirror, simply ask yourself,
“Do you see Him?”

BEautiful Cherie!!! In the book I am reviewing on grief this is one of the things they suggest you do.....See HIM in the flowers, in people, in the sweet ways HE is showing you HIS love! Earnestly looking for HIM and sharing HIM with others.....brings joy to all!!

Great post, Cherie! How challenging to be that person who consistently points others to the Father through my deeds...My prayer is that I'd be a clean vessel that my Savior can use to bring Himself honor and glory! Thanks for being a reflection of Him!! God bless you!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments sisters! Cassandra...I know, shocking isn't it??!!? Yes, I did write this...each year at Easter I try to send out an "Easter" letter to friends and family...this is one I sent a few years ago. I am always amazed at the messages God speaks to my heart. So often, I sit down to write and I'm empty...not sure of what to write...after much time spent with the Lord...I ALWAYS find that He has PLENTY to say...and my writings are the result. :)
Praying all of you have a BLESSED Easter...filled with His presence...HE LIVES!
