A Siren You Shouldn't Ignore

I must first start by saying that I'm incredibly biased toward Dr. Graham...he is indeed, "God's man." I have the utmost respect for him and his ability to reach a lost world. "Storm Warning" is just one of the many avenues by which Billy Graham has used to rescue those who are facing impending doom on the day of judgement.

I did not read the first edition of this book, so I cannot compare how it differs, but unfortunately for me...the book wasn't what I expected. I was looking for Dr. Graham to go into the book of Revelation in more detail while drawing parallels to the current events of our world today. So, for me the message fell short of my expectations. What I found was a book that I would call "Invitational." The references to Revelation were vague and the discussion of its contents were really kept on the surface...I was looking to dig deeper. Instead, Dr. Graham touched on Revelation in an effort to assure those who are lost that there is a God who can save them when they turn to His Son, Jesus, and accept Him as Lord and Savior. I felt that much of the book was repetitive and seemed more like a compilation of some of Dr. Graham's sermons. It took me quite a while to even "get into" the book...it just didn't keep my interest as I had imagined it would.

That being said...I never want to miss a book written by Dr. Graham...we will never experience a more influential man of God in our lifetime...he is a true servant with a heart after God's.

I am a fan of Dr. Graham's, also...

I also enjoy studies in Revelation, so I imagine if I started a book expecting an in-depth focus on that...and discovered it was not, I might be a disappointed....

I particularly liked "Peace With God" originally published in 1953. He's always got great things to share.
