He didn't tell them what they "wanted" to hear...He told them what they "needed" to hear. His mission, and ours as Christians, is to confront the world with the Gospel...not sugar coat it. "The Jesus You Can't Ignore" will help you to more closely follow Jesus, instead of the ways of the world. If you want to REALLY follow Jesus...then don't ignore this book!

Sounds like a challenging book! Confrontation is something I don't enjoy - but I know unbelievers need to realize they are lost sinners, before they'll realize their need for a Savior. It's important to share that truth in love!

This book sounds very interesting. I've some friends who really like John MacArthur's teachings and approach. This might be a good book for me to learn more.
I believe we always need to be prepared to share why we believe what we believe. It's easy to spend time with other Christians as they view life from the same spiritual lens. But when you're out in the world and people speak out against Jesus, we need to be able to respond intelligently but also in love.
I always try to remember that the person who is not yet saved has their eyes blinded. I always try to pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them to Himself. If my words can sprinkle seeds, I love that. Too many in my circle of influence have been turned off because of 'in your face' Christians. I think we can be truthful and share but even as Jesus shared truth with the Samaritan woman at the well, He does so in love.

Ah...the struggle between "want" and "need"...Jesus gives us the examples to know the difference...but we still don't get it right all the time....
I want to read this book and I need to read this book....
