I've never met Mike Flynt, but I really like him. Mostly because he's a tough guy who has been through a rough life and is not afraid to profess his faith in Christ! His heart bleeds onto the pages of "The Power Based Life," as he strives to help you find yourself within God's will. Why God's will? Because there's no better place to be and he's learned it the hard way.
Just a note: the book is heavy on the "sports talk." For some women it may be a little much, but I have two boys and there is no book I would rather them read than "The Power Based Life." Flynt uses analogies with sports to help connect with those who might otherwise ignore God's calling on their life. Flynt knows all too well that going your own way will lead you down a road to nowhere and he has taken his setbacks and complete failures and turned them into what he calls a "powerbase," in order to help others avoid some of those same pitfalls. The stories of famous athletes that Flynt refers to will encourage you and inspire you to press forward in your own dreams, while trusting God to lead and guide you through them. What I loved most about this book was that Mike Flynt walks you through God's Word, the Bible, and shows you how it is not only applicable, but absolutely critical to your life success. "The Power Based Life" will encourage and strengthen you from the inside out and will draw you nearer to the God who created you to reach your full potential through Him.
