Same Life, New Story

Same Life, New Story

We're all living some kind of story, whether we realize it or not. The questions that Jan Silvious poses in "Same Life, New Story" will prompt you to consider examining your own story and possibly learning how to rewrite it. I've never read any of Jan Silvious' books, so I was anxious to read "Same Life, New Story." The author's writing style is that of a dear friend speaking to you, guiding you with Christian counsel through very critical parts of your thinking. The book takes an in depth look at key women in the Bible who had their "story" interrupted and changed for the glory of God. The author wants you to realize that "The End" just might be "The Beginning" if you're trusting God.

You'll find yourself withing the pages of this book. Your story is not much different than others'. (That's Biblical 1 Peter 5:9) "Same Life, New Story" will remind you that in the midst of great suffering, our "thought" process can be contaminated. At the end of each chapter, the author will lead you through "Personal Reflection" questions that will cause you to dig deeper in your faith. You will then be led you keep a journal that is prompted by the author. The Group Study questions are powerful and pertinent and will make this study easy to administer. You'll learn more about the key Biblical women than you knew before and you'll learn alot about yourself along the way. I can't think of a better way to spend your time than reading this book and learning about your story and the Loving Almighty God who wants to write it.
