Empty Promises

After reading Pete Wilson's "Plan B," I was on the edge of my seat waiting for his next book. I hoped there would be one. "Empty Promises" was everything I'd hoped for! "Empty Promises" is the mirror that none of us dare look into. Pastor Wilson opens us up to reflect upon our inner desires and motivations, in order for us to examine our lives and our faith. Before you know it, the message is taking you into the presence of God, and with each page, the Holy Spirit works within you to bring your soul into obedience with God's will.

As you look into the mirror of "Empty Promises," you are brought to your knees in prayer . . . and your spirit cries out 2 Corinthians 13:5 and Psalm 139:23-24, "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test?" . . . "Search me, God, and know my heart;test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting."

Through Biblical teachings and humble transparency, Pastor Wilson comes along side of you, in order to bring your life into submission of Christ. Pastor Wilson never hesitates to proclaim that it's all about the Cross; nothing more, nothing less. The book is passionately written and filled with the Holy Spirit which is sure to work within your heart through each page. The message of "Empty Promises" could not have come at a more critical time. There is no doubt that most people today are living life based on these "Empty Promises." The message of the book tackles the empty promises of achievement, approval, power, money, etc. Our love for our empty promises leaves us empty because we have no room to love God.

EVERYONE needs this book. Everyone needs to let go of "Empty Promises" and grab hold of the "Promises of God."
