God is Closer Than You Think

The thing I love about John Ortberg's books is that his primary purpose is to draw you nearer to God. The author's story telling is pertinent and his Biblical examples are powerful when it comes to increasing your faith in God. "God is Closer Than You Think," fits nicely in Orberg's portfolio of writings.

Many "believers" have a kind of "disconnect" with the God they worship and Ortberg strives to bring those believers into an understanding that God is with them. At times, the author expresses that we must look for God . . . at other times, it is evident that God is obvious. Regardless of where we are and what we're going through . . . God is present . . . in the here and now. The author walks you through what it takes to get "connected" to the God you believe in and paves the path for you to live out the faith you profess.

For me, this book fell short of "Faith and Doubt" by John Ortberg . . . but still a fabulous read for anyone seeking God and needing more of Him in their life!
