One Big Thing

I first learned about Phil Cooke through reviewing his book, Jolt, which I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. I was thrilled to see that he had a new release, One Big Thing. I wonder if Phil Cooke really has  a "one big thing" because in just reading his books there are A LOT of things he is doing superbly. One big thing he is certainly incredible at doing is writing. His books are POWER PACKED with wisdom that is priceless when it comes to living successfully in this world. The thing I think I love most is that Phil Cooke doesn't shove his faith in your face, but he leads you to it. The foundation and principles he speaks of come from his Christian faith and he's not ashamed to share that with you.

One Big Thing is a book EVERYONE should read if you're trying to figure out who you are and what your purpose is in life. And Phil makes it clear that YOU HAVE A PURPOSE. He poses all the important questions that will enable you to examine your life and determine what your one big thing in life is. The true bonus is that Phil's writing style is superb. He's your best friend, willing to be honest with you, revealing the good, the bad, and the ugly, and intent on helping you live life to your fullest potential.

Hi Cherie! I just wanted to stop by. My summer semester is just about over. God helped me pass the SPI (Sonography Physics) Boards on Thurs. AMEN! :) I have often wondered what my "one big thing" is in life. I thought it was music, and then wondered at the Lord taking me from the audible frequency sound range and into ultrasound. But He can do whatever He wants. I was able to share a CD of music with my clinical instructors yesterday. On the radio before I got out of my car to go to clinical, a song was playing, "For such a time as this." It was like God was reassuring me that He put me on planet earth for "Such a time as this." And now I pray that He will use my short time at my last site to bring Him glory and draw them to Him. I have a few weeks break after Monday. Looking very forward to it. Also...I shared the story of my sister's death with some of the staff there. God has used her death to touch lives even tho it's been 15 years now. I posted the story on my blog and a new song. A testimony to the healing power of the Great Comforter, our God. Hope you are well! Sending love and hugs.
