By Faith, Not By Sight

I didn't watch American Idol the year Scott Macyntyre competed, so I had to go back and watch videos. I was amazed at his talent, despite his being born blind. But, that isn't the amazing part of this story, that isn't the inspiring part . . . it's his faith.

This is an in-depth look at the life of Scott Macyntyre from his birth to present. It is a remarkable journey that became a page turner, for me. I was inspired by his family's love and dedication to each other . . . this is rare. I was stunned by their remarkable faith through times of great despair. Their faith has strengthened mine. I am certain that you will find this book to be an inspiring read. God has gifted us with Scott's life. Through this book, he will walk you through how God worked in his life and how He'll work in yours. Quotes I loved:

"Now I would have to walk through my darkest fears. It wouldn't be easy. But life had taught me it was the only way to get to the other side."

"I just needed faith to believe it would always be there and that faith came through practice."

"When I saw how God had orchestrated the events of my life to bring Patricia (kidney organ donor) and me together at the very moment he knew I needed her most, I couldn't help but trust him."

MY FAVORITE QUOTE:
"I learned that his promises are true even when his answers aren't always the answers I'm looking for."

I was a fan of him from the start of the season (yup; I am an "Idol" junkie! Ha!) What I didn't know is what an inspiration he really is; thanks for sharing this book review. Another one I will put on my reading list Cherie!

Blessings and hugs!
